Getting you Data into Salesforce.com

Penrod Software is great at taking the data you currently have in your legacy CRM system, ERP system or in-house system, then preparing and executing the data migration. Penrod Software uses a variety of tools to make sure your data ends up exactly how you want it your Salesforce.com application.

When we look to migrate your data to salesforce.com solutions we know about the importance of understanding your data and how it was used and how it will be used. We use 4 steps to ensure that your data is successfully migrated to salesforce.com

1. Profiling and understanding your data

Data profiling is all about understanding your existing data. Penrod Software wants to know things like, who uses what data? Why is that data important to your business? What data isn’t needed? For example, what are your key tables and most commonly used fields? We will look over your data and make sure we are bringing over the data you need and leaving behind the data you do not.
We work with you to find out what are your data sources? What are the field names in the current application? What are the corresponding field names in Salesforce CRM? Are there fields in your existing data with no corresponding fields in Salesforce CRM, for which you’ll need to create custom fields? We document this information to make sure that we get it right the first time and when you are ready to launch so is your data!

2. Selecting the correct migration methodology.

We use many tools including the Apex Data Loader and ScribeSoft to ensure that your data is being migrated correctly and that you are happy with the results.

3. We analyze and cleanse your data.

After going over the first two steps, Penrod Software will analyze your data before its imported to make sure its 100% what is needed to successfully migrate to salesforce.com. We are able to take data from almost any application including Microsoft, Oracle, SAP and even simple Excel spread sheets.

4. We import your data.

Even if you think because of the amount of applications you use or the way your data is disjointed, we can import it. We have people trained to work with every database and application you can think of. We can create our own data loaders and scrubbers to make sure you enter the Social Enterprise with absolutely everything you need.
